
History always repeats itself: It is the insistent tragedy of humanity. It is also the hope of historians and some contemporary artists that one day, we will all stop being goldfish and remember what we already knew.
I have been working in the background of Art+Australia for awhile but I did take on a larger role shaping this issue with Jeremy Eaton. It reflects what we saw as urgent for the world and the arts scene around us. It also, I hope, slightly shifted the axis with new voices that I am keen to see more of. Let’s see.
